School Tour on Monday
The 4th Class school tour is on Monday! We are all very excited to embrace our inner Viking!!!
As such can you please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the trip. We will be on the Viking splash tour so please wear a raincoat and appropriate footwear. If the weather is warm please send a hat and sun cream with children and a packed lunch and bottle of water. We aim to be back to the school at 2.30 pm.

Award Ceremony in St. Mary's Holy Faith Cancelled
Unfortunately the awards ceremony in Saint Mary's Holy Faith has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I have refunded the children's money to them today (€5). Any child who had not paid the tour money I kept the €5, so those children only need to bring in €15 for tour. Tour is €20 in total. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Next Monday May 21st as part of Biodiversity week, 4th class will be participating in a bird watching workshop in Portmarnock. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing, old shoes, rain gear etc

My class have been involved in the paired reading project in conjunction with the TY students in St. Mary's Holy Faith. The girls from TY have been coming into our class over the past few weeks and engaging in reading activities. We are invited to their school for an awards ceremony on Thursday 17th May. The children will all receive a certificate for participating in the programme. Can I kindly ask for €5 per child to cover the cost of the bus by Wednesday.

Trip to Saint Anne's Park
Fourth class will be going to Saint Anne's Park, next Monday April 30th for a geography field trip. We will be following the tree trail in the park. The cost of the bus is €4. Please ensure that children are wearing suitable clothing, footwear (trainers), rain gear, sun screen, hat, bottled water and a packed lunch.

School Lunches
Fresh Today have announced that the school menu will change after Easter. Your child was given a sheet with logon details today. All changes to the menu must be done online. Please try to do so as soon as possible as changes need to be logged before returning to school after Easter.
If you want to cancel a child's lunch you can do so through the school office. If your child no longer wants / requires a lunch can I ask you to please cancel it, as everyday we have unwanted food in our room.
